To update you on school here halfway through summer, we are still updating parts of the master schedule and room assignments. The secretaries return on August 4 and the master schedule will be re-posted then with the changes tied to student course selections and also to staff schedules. We changed a few rooms so that some staff members would not have to travel to so many different rooms. That means other staff will also be traveling, making the traveling more equitable for the staff. As you are aware, our classroom usage is extremely tight this year.
We are converting some classroom spaces for other uses, such as math to science, and also seeking additional room and meeting spaces. Our enrollment right now sits at 1480 and that is without our large August influx. We are certain to be at 1500 or above next year we believe.
Our new staff has all been hired or approved to be hired. We will update our Jerome family formally in a subsequent Celtic Courier. One Celtic first-- Ryan Longbrake, a Jerome grad, will be a Jerome/Scioto science teacher. It is such a thrill to have one of our students back home.

We will be sending out the official welcome back staff info via the Celtic Courier in early August, except for new staff members. We will be mailing their copy.
One of the items we will be asking for again is a family photo from each of you from the summer that we will put together and all watch at our staff luncheon on Aug. 18. Start going through your summer photos and thinking about which one to send in when we ask for them.
